Part of me? Still wants to shout HIDE THE PORN. And the other half just wants to wave like a total goober just in case…
If I were Martin or Ben and hadn’t ever been a part of fandom I’d be by turns chuffed, proud, bewildered, horrified and on rare occasions truly frightened of/for our fandom. (Oddly, not the butterknife fighting Lobsters though… well frightened for more than of for that one.)
It boggles me that so many people actually linked other people’s Tumblrs that are, adult, in the same manner or worse than the sexual frustration blog to Amanda… I just… What even?
Let her discover the nutty world of Tumblr slowly and at her own pace… God… no, please I just… No. I’d die if, say, ANY of the Buffy cast had seen the copious amounts of porn I collected of Willow and Faith, or Faith and Buffy, or Xander and Willow and Spike… Willow and Oz and Willow and Tara… Good god so much porn.
But yes. Mortified doesn’t begin to cover it. Especially since in my foolish youth I actually put my name with my drawings/writings/commenting.
