The Prices per Ticket:2$ per ticket.
By pre-paying (or buying but not attending) you can get bundles of raffle tickets at a reduced rate: in bundles of 6(pay for 5) 10 USD, 13(pay for 10) 20 USD, 20(Pay for 15) 30 USD.
We will have separate bundles available for Con attendees and Online only sales- this way we can easily keep the two groups separate. Those attending will need to give the name listed on the mailing address and total number of tickets purchased to pick up their pre-paid raffle tickets on the day of.
Those who can not attend will be emailed their ticket numbers and we, the staff will keep an eye on the numbers. We ask that anyone living in Australia or New Zealand (or any other sneaky No Tea Imports countries) reply to the Email of their tickets with “I am unable to receive teas”. You will instead have *2* chances to win a custom John Jumper!
The Causes you are supporting:
Vision Literacy - The Santa Clara County Adult Literacy campaign, helping to bring English literacy to over 500 adults a year. With a 2,000 USD donation total we can provide the funds for Vision Literacy to run an extra summer training camp for a class full of Adults who can not read. At 1,000 we can provide childcare and assistance to a class full of training camp attending adults.
Save Undershaw - I have already pledged 1,500 USD to the cause in the name of the Bay Area Sherlockians- let’s make it happen! Even if the ticket sales don’t reach that number- I will be donating the remainder myself however it falls.
SIGNAL BOOSTING!
Please help me signal boost?
I tried to make it as open to everyone as possible!

VOTING IS OVER!
Order to appear on DVD and during lunch:
- Dancing with the Devil
- Little Lion Man
- Deja Vu
- Set Fire to the Rain
- Letters From the Sky
- Grovel
Our Top Six! Give them a hand!
I’ll be contacting each of our final 6 contestants (I think it winds up being 4 people!) and asking for a High Quality download, if the download they provided is less than 720p.
(Or they didn’t provide a download!)
I, Dawn, fail forever at technical stuff and it wasn’t until I watched all our entries on the new large screen TV that I realized we may want to get the Highest quality video we possibly can from our competitors. If anyone that placed needs a place to upload videos I do have a dropbox or megaupload account we can use. :)
Next year we’ll have everyone list a 720p(or better!) copy of their video with their entries!
It’s 1:17am, I have to get up at 6am. AMG. So, anyone that placed, if you follow me, please, god, have mercy on me and send me a download link sometime today before I have to start hunting you down? XD
I have contacted 2 of the contestants, but right now I am barely staying awake so yes. *flaps hand* things.

Please reblog!
Please also do check out the Forum and Contests, both are open to ANYONE, not just folks that can make it to the convention.
In fact, we set up each of the art contests- (Logo, Poster contests, Video Contests) in such a way that anyone and everyone the world over can participate, and the convention attendees get the final vote for the placing order of the top 10, and reap the rewards of having an entire fandom strut it’s stuff.
The logo contest, for example, has either a free ticket OR a 30$ gift certificate with the website of the winner’s choosing. (if they don’t want redbubble!)

Wow, Fannish, you did that?
I wish I was a few hundred miles south so I could go to this!
THANK YOU!
I just did all the text, though.
Amanda did all the art (with me directing and saying what I wanted, it was actually a LOT of fun!) and Pulvers did the Forum theme and all the coding for the Forum and avatars there- again I just did all the text and board separating otherwise.
Go, explore, point out any errors you find to me so I can secretly rush fix them?
XD Yes, gods but I got so stressed over it, then it was over and I’m still stressed but so relieved and happy!

and the real story of the consulting detective and his faithful blogger friend was all an imagination of the 10 year old John, whose reality at the orphanage was too hard for him to bear, and even harder to share with the 7 year old Sherlock. John was too old and Sherlock was too sick and neither would ever be adopted. Instead, John made up a game to solve the mysteries of their missing friends, who seemed to disappear every so often, taken from them by Moriarty, who, in fact was far too nice and far too helpful in finding children new homes and new parents. Children except for John and Sherlock. Sherlock couldn’t understand where their friends went, and never would, if John kept the game elaborate and interesting enough.
and then they go grab extra food the orphanage cook Mrs Hudson would sneak them, try to hinder all the hard work the genuinely nice and altruistic Mr Moriarty puts into finding children good homes, and jeer angrily every time Jim’s ‘clients’ came to pick up their new sons and daughters. Sherlock’s brother Mycroft keeps egging them on to find deeper truths in their adventures, wanting to open his little brother’s eyes to the truth but not having the heart to tell him directly. He just keeps hoping Sherlock will find out himself. Lestrade doesn’t care for any of this nonsense, but cares even less to stop it. Sherlock is addicted to his medicine if only to survive and John writes down the stories of their adventures to read to Sherlock and their friends too sleep. Sherlock never realizes that it’s all made up, and John carries both of their burdens from being rejected for adoption each time, until when Moriarty himself adopts little Sherlock and takes him to his loving family in Reinbach Falls.
And John is alone.5am brain is dead rambling #drylaughter
And years later, John cleans up and publishes the stories, and when he goes to the first book signing, there Sherlock is, both of them barely into their twenties- John in his new ill fitting dress clothes, and Sherlock in a nice set of worn casual clothes… and they connect again, for the first time in almost a decade, over the vibrant covers of the fantastical tales of a brilliant detective and his faithful doctor friend and assistant… John’s own brief, painful anecdotes in the afterword having barely covered the true depth of his pain and loss… but when Sherlock read it, it broke his heart, and reminded him of the world that was magical and safe, when nothing else seemed to have been.
His own brother and he had been taken with Mr. Moriarty to live with Molly Moriarty as a family. John had been left with Lestrade and the new Mr. Moran… Sherlock had understood, years later, everything John had protected him from suffering as a boy. Now, a decade later; he had left his college, traveled back to the dirty streets of London… to see the man he had always run with in his dreams. The brilliant Doctor John Watson, to his own childish Worlds Greatest Detective.
